I Love Touring Paris - Launching A Series

Paris. The very name is magical. For centuries this magnificent city has been a major tourist destination. I was privileged to have lived for almost two years in the City of Light and want to share my impressions and suggestions with you. I spoke and still speak the language and am familiar with many aspects of the culture even if I am by no means a Titi de Paris (Parisian kid) and even less a zonard (tough from the low rent districts outside the city limits). This article and the others in the series are not about me; they are about one of the world’s greatest cities and greatest tourist destination, Paris.

Lentil Soups: Easy, Filling And Delicious

Have you made a pot of lentil soup lately? It’s healthful cooking at its best: easy, hearty, tasty and loved by young and old. Lentils come in one-pound bags in the dry beans section of your supermarket. Usually you will find two kinds: ordinary greenish-brown lentils, and orange lentils which are actually just the ordinary lentils with their skins removed. You may also find tiny dark green lentils, called French lentils, but these are usually more expensive and may be in the gourmet or international section of the store. All cook quickly and make wonderful soups.

Potato Salads - Three Easy, Healthful Recipes

Potato salads are not just for picnics! They’re good year-round, and the variations are endless. Try adding chunks of red-skinned potatoes to just about any tossed salad recipe, or make your own versions of my recipes by adding any other ingredients you like.
